Zinedine Zidane has been the solution of Florentino Perez to replace Benitez as coach of Madrid. The already-former coach of Madrid Castilla said he would "try to win something" this season. So far, his team opt to the Champions League and is third in the league.

Zidane, a recognized world-class player, has little coaching experience. He has directed a season and a half the B team of the whites.

Last season, to learn from the best, he left Castilla in the hands of his assistants and made two trips: in December 2014 he visited Marcelo Bielsa in Marseille and in March 2015, he went to see Josep Guardiola in Munich. There he could attend two Bayern training sessions and had a long talk with Guardiola, along with other former players like Willy Sagnol or Claude Makelele.

Indeed, Zidane recently praised publicly the former coach of Barca: "Guardiola changes things; he innovates. He created new training methods. He gets the best performance out of his players, but especially understands his potential."
