The percentage of success is similar between Suárez (81%), Messi (79%) and Neymar (77%)
Neymar missed another panalty last Wednesday against Valencia. He has missed 4/8 shots this season so far. His non-running technique is not working and this time he sent the ball against woodwork. In total, FC Barcelona shot 14 penalties and missed 6 this season. Messi missed 2/4 and Luis Suárez has a 100% accuracy, 2/2. With this panorama, the penalty kicks has become the only pending subject in which FC Barcelona can improve.
The debate on who should kick penalties is open. If we take a look at historic numbers, we can see that Messi, Neymar and Suárez have a similar accuracy percentage, around 80%. Messi is the one who have kicked more penalties and, as Suárez explained, he is the number one when kicking it. We'll see what happens in the next matches in case a penalty has to be kicked.
