10,049 spectators, most of them children, cheered the players
This Monday, FC Barcelona did the annual Christmas open-door training session. Last year, most notable news was the absence of Leo Messi, but this year the Argentine was the star of the day, as he was much demanded by the children present at the training.
The only player who missed it, apart from Rafinha, was Sergi Roberto, with some discomfort after playing vs Espanyol; he stayed on the gym doing recovery work.
This was the first training of Aleix Vidal and Arda Turan as Barcelona players with full rights.
Firstly, the players did something unusual: jogging around the perimeter of the pitch. Normally the club does in practice this exercise, but this time it was used to get closer to the 10,049 spectators.
Afterwards they did the classic rondo and other exercises with the ball, with players divided into teams.
VIDEO. One of the most curious actions was this nutmeg of Messi on Bartra.
Later the players divided in two groups. The ones who played against Espanyol kept doing rondos, while the others played a little match.
In the end, the players signed a lot of autographs.
