Arsenal managed to turn it around after the Catalans exhibition
One of the best matches of Barcelona under Pep Guardiola, or at least one of the best first halfs, was back on the 31st of March 2010 at the Emirates, where Arsenal and Barcelona ended up in a 2-2 draw.
In the first half of that match Barcelona didn't score, but had total dominance of the game and created many chances. Arsenal's goalkeeper Almunia was the man of the match and saved a shot after another. Ibrahimovic scored twice at the beginning of the second half but Arsenal managed to turn it around with goals from Walcott and Cesc Fabregas.
That match's report in El País said: "A fairytale ended in a nightmare. Barcelona made an incredible match until Ibrahimovic was subbed for Henry. The Catalans lose at the end the magic they had had and the British were fortunate. The Champions League doesn't admitt distractions".
In the book 'Pep Confidential' by Marti Perarnau, Guardiola's right hand Manel Estiarte confirmed that match at the Emirates was one of the best of their career at Barcelona. Guardiola however chose another one: "I think we played better another day, in the Club World's Cup against Santos".
