Former FC Barcelona player closed his first season in England with 25 scored goals
Form the first title to the last one. Arsene Wenger's Arsenal ended the season in England after defeating Aston Villa in the FA Cup final, which was played this Saturday at Wembley. Gunners won the match with a convincing victory (4-0) with goals by Walcott, Alexis, Mertesacker and Giroud. Second consecutive FA Cup and second title for the 2014/15 season after they won the Community Shield against Manchester City last August.
After a first half where the Londoners controlled the game, the result at the half time was of 1 to 0 for Arsenal, who didn't defined much of the chances they created to Given's goal. In the comback, Alexis Sánchez scored at minute 50 and it started to smell like victory for Wenger's men. The Chilean forward performed a kick from the edge of the box that drilled the net to a defeated Given. Spectacular performance by Alexis, who closes his first season in England with 25 scored goals.
At 62 minutes, the German centre-back Mertesacker scored the 3 to 0 and when the match almost reached it's full time Giroud scored the final 4 to 0.
