The United Nations (UN) decided to ask for Barça player Leo Messi's collaboration to promote their initiative of sustainable development. Through this initiative they try to involve 17 personalities, among which Shakira, Piqué's partner.
UN's program includes 17 objectives (as many as there are personalities) approved last September 25th, among which the eradication of poverty before the end of 2030, universal access to education and health and the struggle against climate change.
Amid the list of personalities there are also Belgium's Queen Matilde, Princess of Sweeden Victoria, actor Forest Whitaker, Nobel Prize and micro-credit pioneer Muhamad Yunus and Unilever's President and CEO, Paul Polman. For now, the role of Messi in this big chain hasn't been specified. As a reminder, the Argentine is an ambassador for UNICEF.
