UE Olot's Alberto Perea signed a one-year-and-a-half contract with the blaugrana club.
There have been a lot of transfer moves very recently in Barça's reserve team. After having showed Bagnack, Cantalapiedra, Campins and Babuski the door, Barça B decided to bring some reinforcement in. According to FC Barcelona's official communicate, they have concluded a transfer deal with Segunda B's side (Spanish Third Division) UE Olot to sign Spanish striker Alberto Perea.
The 25 year-old, product of the Albacete formation, completed the medical examination and is already available to play under Gerard Lopez's orders. With 9 goals in 15 games in the Group III of the Segunda B division (12 in the starting line-up), the former Rayo Vallecano player is in great form. His past two games attest his quality, as he scored two doubles, against Levante (2-2 draw) and Alcoyano (2-2 draw). UE Olot, 12th in the table (22 points) gave him their thanks and wished him the best for his new challenge in Barça B (18th in Segunda B Group III, 3 points behind Olot with 19) through a communicate on their website.
His La Liga experience with Madrid-based club Rayo Vallecano (13 games between 2012 and 2014, 1 goal) will be precious for a struggling blaugrana attack (18 goals in 20 games). The exciting challenge that awaits him made him even more eager to show off his finishing abilities. "I am really happy and really looking forward to training and playing my first match", said Albacete-born Perea. "I'm one of the older players, so I think I can add experience and maturity to the team."
