The Italian club cannot afford the 8 million euros Barça ask, but they are said to have presented an alternative offer to the Blaugranas
Tello wants to go to Fiorentina, and Fiorentina want to keep fighting for Tello. The Italian club can't afford the economic figure Barça ask for his transfer, around 8 million euros, but according to the newspaper SPORT there would be a solution that could interest Barça: a player exchange including a famous '9'.
Currently Fiorentina have property on Mario Gómez. The German striker had a good season last year with Besiktas, but he didn't want to renew with the Turkish club because of the political situation of the country. He could never fully adapt with the Italian team, which is why the club is looking for an exit for him. Given the interest they have in Tello, and Barça's interest in signing a striker, the Toscana club is said to offer an exchange between the two players.
In that operation, one of the big obstacles would be the striker's wage. Mario Gómez is currently earning 5 million euros a year in the Italian club and Barça is allegedly not prepared to assume that figure for a substitute. It is yet to see how the two clubs position themselves and if they manage to start negotiations with that operation.
