Pedro Rodriguez is closer to leave Barça now than before the renewal. And all is because after the Canary striker signed with Josep Maria Bartomeu on 8 June, the contract extension until 2019, the clause has been reduced to 30 million euros.

Knowing that his minutes in Barça were decreasing and the offensive trident is almost untouchable, Pedro's contract that finishes in June 2016, decided to take a step to change his situation. Knowing that the clause was 150 million euros, a price almost impossible to leave Barça, he renewed the contract with a reduction in the clause, leaving the door open to a possible exit before the end of the season as it said in his last contract, according to Miguel Rico of Mundo Deportivo.

Pedro is needed by Luis Enrique at least until January, when FIFA punishment finishes and Barça can register new signings. And also when they will play the first part of the season, as the European Super Cup with a few trainings of Messi and Neymar after the Copa America.

Pedro's future, however, seems to be geared towards the Premier League. The Canary might like Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool. But according to the newspaper Sport, Pedro had already rejected bids of PSG, Liverpool and Arsenal, and now Chelsea would be the candidate. Mourinho after losing the struggle for Arda Turan, have made an offer of 20 million euros to Barça to take Pedro to London, according to the British press.
