August 31st is probably the craziest day in the football market. Faxes and phone numbers ring non-stop and clubs try to secure last -minute deals in order to improve their squads after the first games of the season.

Among the signings, there have been very important surprises. One of them is David Luiz's return to Chelsea for a fee after around 40 million euros. Juan Cuadrado, Joe Hart, Mario Balotelli, Jack Wilshere and Álvaro Arbeloa were the other prominent names on this last day of signings.

There have also been transfers involving former Barça players, like Adama Traore's move to Middlesbrough and Luis Alberto's transfer to Lazio.
