The Catalan cooks, the brothers Roca, are on tour in Messi's country and his most successful dish is inspired in the goal he scored against Getafe
El Celler de Can Roca is a Catalan restaurant which stands out for his innovation and risk when preparing new dishes. So one day, Jordi —in charge of desserts— though: "How might a goal by Messi taste?" And he started to elaborate a new dish with this play:
Inspired in the players' run (and the narration by Catalan commentator Joaquim Maria Puyal), Jordi Roca prepared the dish: you start with a line of meringues —Real Madrid fans are called this way— before reaching the goal. There you break the net and eat a combination of lemon, orange, passion fruits and Peta Zetas.
The Argentine version
This summer, Roca brothers are doing a tour in Argentina and obviously Messi's goal is their most successful dish. Furthermore, they have adapted it to the South American country, replacing meringues for typical Brazilian fruit, emulating Messi's goal vs la Canarinha.
