The translator of Pep Guardiola's press conference at the Vicente Calderón stadium was at the centre of a funnt scene about Leo Messi to which the Catalan coach contested with humour. In one of his translations, he mixed up Xabi Alonso's name with Messi's and Guardiola stopped him: "Messi?". After smiling to the press and the translator's correction, Bayern's coach added: "It would have been good..."
The Catalan coach was asked if Saúl's goal could be compared to one of Messi's: "I have a lot of respect for Saúl but I don't know if it would be goof to compare him with Messi. Spanish football have a great talent with Saúl."
