The striker announced he will leave City in 2019
Sergio 'Kun' Agüero surprisingly announced he will leave Manchester City on June 2019, when his contract ends, and he will move to Argentina, his homeland. His departure might also coincide with Guardiola's, since he has signed for 3 seasons with the English club.
In an interview at El Rojo En La Uno, Agüero explained he will quit Premier League to come back to Club Atlético Independiente, where he was trained when he was young. Besides, he also explained a talk with Leo Messi about the possibility to play in Argentine the final part of their career, first in Newell's and then in Independiente.
Here you have his statements:
Farewell to City
"I know for sure. I will retire in Independiente. My family knows it. I will come back there once my contract with Manchester City ends. The club also know it. I will quit England to go to Avellaneda. I have the dream to play with my mates."
Anecdote with Messi
"One day, Lio told me that if I wanted him to play for Independiente, I had to play at Newell's first. I know that some other players want to come back to Independiente. One said that he would return there with me."
