"We all want the three titles. We are really motivated and we think we can achieve them."
FC Barcelona's goalkeeper, Marc-André ter Stegen, has been interviewed by the newspapers Sport and Mundo Deportivo. He will have to defend the goal in these two finals and he feels confident regarding winning them. He also admitted it's been a difficult year because he wanted to play in La Liga. Here you have his best statements:
"A difficult year"
"It wasn't as expected, it's been a difficult year. I want to play always, but Claudio Bravo did a great work in La Liga. I haven't played every week, but I know that my performance depends on the trainings, and I'm focused on that. I did my best."
"Of course I would like to play La Liga next year."
"We [the three goalkeepers] have a professional relationship. The coach wants the best for the team, so we have to respect his decisions."
"I always try to be concentrated, not thinking on what is happening outside. Besides I try to do my best for the team and for myself, so we can have chances to win titles."
"If you still need someone to get motivated, you are in the wrong place. We are absolutely focused in Athletic."
"I don't care being the protagonist of a victory. What matters is the team, every member of the squad is important to win the title."
"He is an incredible player and a great person. I don't know what happened to him last year, but what I can say is that he is really good in and out of the fields. We are really happy to have him."
Relationship with Luis Enrique
"The beginning was difficult because everything was new. We needed time to adapt and he needed to know where every footballer could play. Once we connected on the field, the good results came."
"He is a direct person and he express his opinion. We talk about soccer and situations of the game."
"The coach told us how Athletic play, but you never know everything. It's a final and many things can happen. I think it's really good to play 'home' because we know the stadium. It will be an interesting match."
"Athletic have great players, but any special one like Messi. We have other players who can make the difference: Neymar, Rakitic..."
