The coach want first-class signings to reinforce the team
After losing Champions League final, Simeone wasn't clear about his future. He didn't confirm he would stay at Atlético Madrid and alarms in the club turned on.
According to the press from Madrid, the Argentin coach is thinking about leaving Atlético if the club don't sign first-class players. Simeone wants a reliable team to compete with the biggest European clubs.
The coach doesn't want to see how the team changes every summer because the best players leave. He considers that the club must do an economic effort. Some of the players who could end at Atlético are Cavani (PSG) or Diego Costa (Chelsea) and, according to the newspaper AS, the board is determined to invest €42 million from the transfer of Jackson Martínez in a new striker. Furthermore, the team already closed a deal with the midfielder Nico Gaitán, currently at Benfica.
