Sergi Roberto has been one of the positive notes of the season for FC Barcelona. The young player trained in La Masia has exceeded all expectations and has become the perfect joker for Luis Enrique. He played in almost every position in the field and has always offered a good performance, becoming the 12th footballer in number of minutes played.

The footballer has played more than 60% of games in which he has been available, and for this reason, the clause has risen from €30 to €40 million. As Weloba explained in November, Sergi Roberto had this option in the contract renewal he signed in 2014 and which expires in 2019.

Seeing the high performance the midfielder has offered, the club is being studying a salary increase to reward Roberto. However, as in other pending renovations such as Neymar and Busquets, the club can not execute them until 1 July.
