Javier Saviola

Javier Saviola was one of the star signings of the presidency of Joan Gaspart. When he was 19 years old and had just excelled at the U20 World Cup, Barça paid 24 million to incorporate the River Plate striker, who impressed for his speed.

Saviola had a contract with the club for six years. At the end of that time, he played on loan at Monaco and Sevilla. When he was free, he moved to Real Madrid, where he endured two seasons. Benfica, Málaga, Olympiacos and Hellas Verona (where he spent the 2014-15 season) complete the list of teams where he played.

Now, el "Conejo" leaves the discipline of the Italian team, and 14 years later, returns to the team who formed him and born as a footballer. Saviola has signed for River Plate.
