Robert Fernández wants to renew his contract for 4 years and that he grows in another team
Sergi Samper's future, lies in a renewal of his contract for four years and a loan to another first echelon team so he can grow, according to Barça's plan. It is a formula similar to the one used for Alen Halilovic (that will certainly be loaned out again) or Denis Suárez, who will come back this summer in the Blaugrana club.
It means that the player will not go directly to the first team after coming out of the reserve, but will have to go to another club of the elite, according to Gabriel Sans in Mundo Deportivo today. The idea, Sans says, is of the first team's technical secretary, Robert Fernández, and was approved by the coach, Luis Enrique Martínez.
The first step, absolutely necesary, is to link the player's future with the Blaugranas. Samper's current contract with Barça terminates the coming 30th of June, but the renewal agreement for the 4 coming seasons is very near to be sealed.
Once it is signed, it will be yet to see in which team Samper plays next season: he needs a coach that can guarantee him game time in first division. This condition is very important if Samper wants to have opportunities with Barça when the loan ends.
