He won't play against Villarreal, but will travel with Brazil
Rafinha Alcántara's nightmare is about to end. The Brazilian player got injured last September 16 when facing Roma in the first Champions League match of the season. The tests confirmed tear in his right Anterior Cruciate Ligament of his knee and the fact that he would have to stay 6 months out. A period which is going to end this March.
According to the journalist of Catalunya Radio, Xavi Campos, Rafinha will get medical clearance next week. Not for playing with FC Barcelona against Arsenal (on Wednesday) or Villarreal (on weekend) yet. For the moment he will travel with the Brazilian National Team, as he was included in the squad list for two friendlies against Nigeria and South Africa.
This Thursday, Rafinha trained with the rest of Barça players. If he is ok, he might come back to the fields with the Blaugrana jersey soon. No matches are planned in two weeks and, after that, it's Real Madrid and Real Sociedad turn. We'll see how Luis Enrique manages the comeback of the midfielder.
