Rafinha

Rafael Alcántara, Rafinha, just won the Olympic gold medal with Brazil. Last Sunday he played his first minutes of the season and yesterday talked about his personal situation in an interview to Catalunya Ràdio.

The gold medal

"We faced it as if it was the World Cup. The Olympic title was the only one that Brazil didn't have. It was a dream come true".

"There was a lot of pressure on us, after so many great Brazilian players tried to win it and failed".

"I would have liked to play more, but I had physical problems one month before and I was afraid I wouldn't play at all".

The injuries

"It's been a difficult year but my brother (Thiago) helped me get through it".

"I'm not afraid at all. This season will be key to feel good again".

His chances of playing

"We signed great players and the opposition to play will be fierce".

"It's Luis Enrique who decides in which position I play. I don't doubt that Luis Enrique trusts me, but it's up to me to play well".

Leaving Barça

"I didn't know about Celta's interest. I appreciate them a lot but I never talked to them".

"I want to stay in Barcelona but if I don't play, I'll consider leaving".

"It's very difficult to play good if you don't get any minutes. Munir and Samper took good decisions."
