Portugal won the Euros with a late goal from Eder in the extra time. Without playing great, any of the teams, and with Cristiano Ronaldo injured in the first half of the match, Portugal beat the favourites in Saint Denis (0-1).
In the first time, the news were that Cristiano Ronaldo couldn't continue after twenty minutes due to a hard tackle by Payet. France had the ball and the chances and Sissoko was the man of the moment. However, Portugal's goalkeeper Rui Patricio started to show he was going to be a very important man in the final.
France had the most clear chance of the first 90 minutes. Substitute Gignac hit the post after a great turn and dribble on Pepe and the match went to extra time.
Fernando Santos moved the bench better in the extra time. And his man Eder scored the winner with a great shot from outside the area. It's the first Euro for Portugal in their history.
