The player has to pay more than 6,000€
Some days ago, Carles Naval, FC Barcelona's delegate, explained at Catalunya Ràdio that "Getting just one minute late to a training session means a fine of 200 euros." Today, the journalist Javi Miguel went a step further and published at the newspaper Sport the list of sanctions in the squad.
There are two standards when it comes to fine players. One applies to training and the other to matches. Arriving late for the first time in a session, if only for a minute, implicates a 200 euro fine. The second and third time, 400 to 800. That is, the amount doubled.
On a match day, however, the first time they have to pay 400 euros, but the second 1,600 and the third, 6,400.
The player who accumulates the most sanctions is Gerard Piqué, with more than €6,000 from different delays. The 2nd is by far the Brazilian Neymar, with €1,200. The 3rd is another Brazilian, Adriano, with €1,000 euros. And the fourth is the Turkish Arda Turan, 600 euros.
At the other end of the list, the players who do not have a penny in fines. For example, none of the four captains, Andres Iniesta, Leo Messi, Sergio Busquets and Javier Mascherano have come any date late. Also Dani Alves and Luis Suarez have not joined any minute late.
Curiously, this list of sanctions is not secret. It is hung froma clearly visible area in the walls of the first team squad.
