After negotiations stopped this Saturday, entity and player have finally reached an agreement
There is already agreement between Real Madrid and Iker Casillas for the player's departure. Iker Casillas will finally sign for Porto after 16 seasons in the White first team (725 games), and 25 in the club. Madrid have officially announced it through a statement.
After a tug-of-war between the two sides, with a "stop" in negotiations on Saturday afternoon the player will join Porto and will earn €13 million during the next two years. Madrid will pay 8 million of these, according to the newspaper ABC.
The agreement seemed to be closed on Friday and the Whites even expected a tribute at the Bernabéu stadium, but hundreds of fans were shoked after attending the stadium and not finding any tribute or any deal.
Porto is a team of second row but it will allow him keep playing the UEFA Champions League aged 34 years. The main problem in negotiations has been his high salary.
Goodbye to a Madrid Legend
With Casillas' transfer, the White fans say goodbye to a legend in Madrid. During those 16 seasons he has won 5 Ligas, 3 Champions Leagues, 2 Copas del Rey, 1 Club World Cup, 2 European Super Cups and 4 Spanish Super Cups.
