Former Barcelona goalkeeper accepts Aitor Karanka's proposal
Víctor Valdés has completed his move to Middlesbrough. The Catalan goalkeeper, who left Manchester United earlier this summer, has accepted Aitor Karanka's offer and will remain in the Premier League in a two year deal.
Valdes had a bad time at United where he didn't have a good relationship with Louis Van Gaal. After a loan move to Standard Liege in Belgium, Boro's scouts studied his performances and decided he was ready again for the highest level.
Karanka's team got promoted from the Championship to the Premier League last season. There are two goalkeepers in the first team. Dimitrios Konstantopoulos (37) and Tomas Mejias (27). However, Valdes would be the first-choice.
