It was the first video to reach 1 million views on Youtube
10 years ago, reaching one million views on YouTube was nearly impossible. Not everyone had Internet, smart phones did not exist and YouTube was not yet the giant of today. One of the people who helped to popularize the fact of watching videos via computer was Ronaldinho, the crack of FC Barcelona that juggled incredibly with the ball.
In 2005, he starred in a commercial by Nike in Miniestadi —the field next to Camp Nou— with Barcelona's training t-shirt. The video was the first to hit 1 million views on YouTube. In the advertisement, he had to try on new boots by Nike. After touch the ball a little bit, Ronaldinho surprised everyone kicking the ball against woodwork and making it returning to his chest to control it over and over again.
Now, Nike has reminded the 10th anniversary of the launching of those boots and has prepared a special edition of 3,000 numbered units. Under the name Tiempo Legend Touch of Gold, this sports brand wants to pay a tribute to Ronaldinho boots with golden details similar to that of one of the greatest magicians in the history of soccer.
