The Brazilian authorities wanted to seize him €43 million of patrimony
According to many Brazilian media like Estada, Globoesporte or UOL, the authorities of this country confiscated Neymar's plane and private yacht as part of the judicial process regarding alleged tax evasion. The measure was adopted to ensure the payment of the tax debts and the possible fines originated during the process.
The district attorney ask Neymar to pay around 63.6 million reals (about €14 million) for undeclared taxes between 2011 and 2013 coming from his signing for FC Barcelona. The court ordered to seize 192.7 million reals (about €43 million) of patrimony from Neymar, his father and from the three companies of the family.
The Brazilian tax office considers that Neymar evaded taxes because he declared the money he got from his signing as profit of his companies, and not as earned income. Furthermore, the attorney charges him of omitting the collection from commercial services and image rights related to his signing for FC Barcelona from his tax declaration. These alleged irregularities are also investigated by the Spanish law.
