Last night Brazil hosted Colombia in the 8th round of the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers. Neymar's goal with 17 minutes left gave Brazil a 2-1 win that could be vital for them as they are now second in the group, one point behind Uruguay and above Argentina on goal difference.
With this goal, Neymar took his international record to 48 goals in 72 games and is now level with Zico. The national record is still in Pele's hands.
The canarinha took an early lead thanks to the former Alético player Joao Miranda, who scored in the second minute of the game with an excellent header. Unluckily for Brazil, Marquinhos scored an own goal in the 36th minute after touching a free-kick by James Rodriguez.
