Argentina still can't find the winning ways without Leo Messi
Argentina is starting to have big problems in the Conmebol qualification group for the Russia World Cup 2018. After having played 3 matches, they only have 2 points and are 9th in the table. Yesterday they drew against Brazil in a match they were better in the first half. Dani Alves, Neymar and Mascherano played the full 90 minutes for their national teams (1-1).
Without Messi and Kun Aguero, former Barcelona manager Tata Martino didn't have so many options in attack. However, there aren't solid excuses to defend the poor performances by Argentina in these first matches. Now they must beat Colombia on Tuesday if they want to recover from this bad moment and don't lose chances to qualify for the World Cup.
Neymar didn't show his greatest level in this match. It was Bayern Munich's winger Douglas Costa who changed the scenario in the second half with his performance. Lavezzi opened the scoreline for Brazil in the first half and Leandro Lima equalized in the second.
Argentina: Sergio Romero, Roncaglia, Otamendi, Funes Mori, Marcos Rojo, Biglia, Mascherano, Banega (Lamela 80'), Lavezzi (Gaitán 69'), Higuaín (Dybala 80') i Di Maria.
