Luis Enrique has said many times that the unbeaten record means nothing if not accompanied by titles. But the best way of getting titles is not losing matches.

After win vs Rayo, Barça set a new record of matches without losing in La Liga: 35. Which records they have left to beat?

Unbeaten records

Once Madrid's record of matches without losing (1988-89), next goal is Juventus' record: 43 matches without losing in the 2011-12 season. This is the highest number of unbeaten matches ever worldwide.

If Barça keeps without losing, they would beat this record in the second leg of Champions League quarterfinals, 2 weeks after facing Real Madrid. Before that, he still can beat Milan's record (36 unbeaten matches in 1990-91) or Nottingham's one (40 in 1977-78)

Record in the domestic league

Win vs Rayo was Barça's 20th consecutive unbeaten match. Only taking into account Liga matches, the record is owned by Real Sociedad, with 38 matches in the 1978 and 1980.

In the big European Leagues, the number is 58 matches (got by Milan between 1991 and 1993), while the absolute record is owned by Steaua Bucarest: 106 without losing between 1986 and 1989.
