Since the transfer of Pedro to Chelsea, many have been said about the paper of the 4th forward in FC Barcelona. Luis Enrique has never denied he would like to reinforce tihs position and he wasn't happy with Pedro's departure. During the winter market, Nolito was about to come to the Catalan club, but the economic situation stopped the operation, as Barça couldn't pay €18 million requested by Celta Vigo.

From July 1, FC Barcelona will be able to face new investments and the board will have to choose their preferences. First of all, we find the urgent renewals of Neymar and Busquets, two of the most important players who were promised a contract improvement. In a mid-term planning, we find three more players whose value increased since they arrived: Suárez, Rakitic and Bravo. Furthermore, over the last weeks it has been said that Messi's contract could be extended until 2022, so he can retire in FC Barcelona.

These renewals will be Barça's big signings, as the club won't be able to invest a big amount of money on signings. Luis Enrique wants to reinforce the team with a center-back and a fourth striker, apart from the comeback of Denis Suárez for €3 million, which will be fantastic to have more midfielders. Regarding the center-back, Barça know that they need an experienced player who can directly compete with Mascherano, who will soon turn 32. Alaba is the big dream, but we'll see if Barcelona can pay for him.

With all the money spent after all these operations, we arrive at the fourth forward point. According to Mundo Deportivo, Barça's sporting management members are aware that any young promising players will be really expensive and that he would not have many minutes of competition. On the other hand, a veteran player wouldn't fit in Luis Enrique's plans and it's complicated to see Celta lowering Nolito's price. With this panorama, the most probable option is that Munir keeps doing the role of 4th striker.

The young 20-year-old forward improved a lot during 2016 and has scored 5 goals in the last 5 games played. When one of the untouchables missed (Messi, Suárez or Neymar), Munir performed well. The striker was forced to mature really fast and Luis Enrique praised his potential. Furthermore, next season, with Denis Suárez and Rafinha, Barça's coach will also count with two footballers who can play in the forward positions in concrete moments. Meanwhile, Sandro might find a way out, as he is not playing at all.
