De Gea appeared in press conference and denied it
Scandal in the world of soccer. The goalkeeper of Manchester United and Spanish national team, David De Gea, and Athletic Club striker, Iker Muniain, have been involved in an inquiry of sexual exploitation (in some cases to minors), sexual assault, pornography, extortion and money laundering. This is a case where the Spanish promoter Ignacio Allende Fernández 'Torbe' has been jailed during Spanish police investigation.
As firstly published at Eldiario.es, a witness of the case has identified Muniain and De Gea as two of the players who abused her in 2012 when they were with the Spanish U21 team. According to the story, described as "very credible" by the National Police, Torbe took the girl to a hotel where the players were and told her to do everything the players wanted in exchange for money. The girl said she was sexually abused and threatened not to tell anyone.
In this document published by Eldiario.es, you can read the statement of the girl, where the names of the players appear. We'll have to see the consequences of this investigation and if De Gea leaves Euro 2016.
De Gea denies everything
After the appearance of this information, David De Gea appeared this afternoon in press conference and denied everythig: "It's a lie. I'm really calm, because any of this is true. I will not quit national team and my lawyers are already working in the case."
