Leo Messi is said to think about whether it is a good idea or not to renew with FC Barcelona. The Argentine's contract expires in two seasons from now, the 30th of June of 2018, and according to the program 'El Partido de las 12' (the 12 o'clock game) of radio COPE, he is thinking about his present and future. The Spanish show insists on the fact Messi has been feeling persecuted and exposed for months.

The last weeks of Messi haven't been the best, with his sentence to 21 months in prison - although he won't go to jail - for tax fraud and the loss in the Copa América final against Chile, missing a penalty in the decisive shootout. Afterwards Messi communicated that he would not come back in the Argentinian national team, despite the proofs of support from the local population that have appeared since then.

Messi, currently on vacation, will come back to Barcelona on the 25th July and will take part in the first pre-season games against Leicester, Liverpool and Celtic.
