He will lead the Albiceleste in Rio's Olympics
Despite the crisis situation Argentinian football is going through, after losing the Copa America Centenario final against Chile, the main executives of the Argentinian Federation decided to maintain the same head coach. It means that Gerardo 'Tata' Martino and his staff will stay at the head of the Albiceleste, just like the Federation announced it in a statement on Twitter.
This way, the AFA also rule out the rumours that were spreading about the former Barça coach resigining, given the poor results in the two last Copa America finals (both lost in the penalty shootout against Chile).
Martino's next challenge as head coach of Argentina is the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, where he will feature alongside the Under-23 team.
