According to Tele5, Guardiola's club is close to sealing a deal
Barça saw the competition rising for Nolito's signing. Pep Guardiola's Manchester City is also interested in Celta's winger and, according to Tele 5, the deal is about to be done. Before the start of the game Spain - Czech Republic, journalist Manu Carraño explained that the negotiation talks are advanced and that an agreement could soon be reached.
After reaching such an agreement with the player, City will have to talk with Celta, that have always been saying that whoever wanted the player should pay the 18 million euros buyouy clause. This price wouldn't be a problem for Manchester City, one of the richest clubs in the world and who gave all the resources at Guardiola's disposal to try and win every title next season.
Nolito is an eternal request of Luis Enrique's to the sporting direction but the Board couldn't seal the deal in the winter transfer window because they couldn't spend any more money. Therefore, the transfer of the forward was expected to be done this summer but now competition has emerged.
