According to Catalan newspaper Sport, Canaries' native regrets having signed for Chelsea
Luis Enrique still thinks it is a necessity to reinforce Barça offensively with a winger that could give Messi, Suárez and Neymar some rest. The name that came out of his mouth was Nolito, who would meet the expectations. He knows the club, would accept to be a substitute and he is playing at a high level at Celta Vigo. The problem is the team from Galicia requires 18 million euros and Barça can't handle such a transfer. The economical alternative to Nolito would be getting Denis Suárez back from Villarreal, although he is more of a midfielder.
In this context, the Board are reviewing other options and even looked into Pedro's comeback. According to the daily newspaper Sport, the player from the Canaries regrets having signed for Chelsea where he does not have the role he hoped for, and where the team's productivity is far from what was predicted. The Blaugranas supposedly looked into a 6-month loan until the end of the season but Luis Enrique is said to have refused it. The manager considers Pedro as part of the club's past and thinks that there is no sense in getting a player that will want to leave again in 6 months.
Barça has until January 31st to pursue the negociations and try to satisfy Luis Enrique's wish to reinforce the team. For now, Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal have increased the Blaugrana's possibilities, but the Astrurian manager wants more players to face the 3 competitions Barça is in (Liga, Copa del Rey, Champion's League) with more confidence.
