The closer we get to summer, and the coming summer transfer window, the more we hear about transfer rumours regarding Barça. Some of them are about defenders, some others go all the way up to the offensive line. After trying to sign Nolito, and being linked with Sevilla's Kevin Gameiro, Barça are said to be interested in bringing Lyon's young striker Alexandre Lacazette (24 years old), as an additional force to the trident, that should remain next season.

According to the French newspaper L'Equipe, the Blaugranas have looked into the possibility of signing the striker this summer and are said to even have started speaking with the player's entourage. The idea is to make of Lacazette the ultimate joker behind the 3 superstars that are Messi, Suárez and Neymar. After a difficult first half of the season, Lacazette seems to have come back to the level that was his last season when he ended as the top goal scorer of French Ligue 1 and brought his team of Olympique Lyonnais all the way to the second place, alongside his teammate Nabil Fekir. That year, the 7-time French champions had given a hard time to PSG, that only assured the title in the 37th fixture.

With 27 goals, Lacazette had finished as the top goal scorer of the French League, and was elected as the best player of the season by his pairs during the UNFP ceremony of Football Trophies. This season, he has scored 18 goals after struggling in the first half, just like his club. The second part has been way better for the 'Gones' and they're now seeking a second consecutive direct qualification for the Champion's League Group Stage, to bring top European football in their brand new stadium. However, it could be without their leading star in attack, linked with many clubs like Tottenham, West Ham or Atlético Madrid, and now Barça.

In the past, Lyon's president Jean-Michel Aulas has shown dispositions to let his best players go for a big transfer, as long as the club gets enough money for it. The problem probably wouldn't be the destination, but the price. According to transfermarkt.es, Lacazette's value is estimated at 30 million euros. President Aulas will probably not let him go for less than that, even - especially - if it is Barça knocking on the door. Although Lacazette would be an excellent back-up for the three South-American deadly strikers, it would be a costly one.
