The former Barça player will face Madrid on Tuesday in Champions League
This Wednesday, Roma and Real Madrid will face each other in the first leg of Champions League round of 16. Beforehand, the white club is the clear favorite due to their squad potential, but the Italian are in a great moment after four consecutive wins in Serie A.
One of the players with more participation since the arrival of Luciano Spalletti on the bench is the former Barça player Seydou Keita. Aged 36, he is not as fit as when he was in Sevilla and FC Barcelona, but he is one of the veterans with more tactical rigour and one of the best when having the ball in the midfield.
In an interview at La Gazzetta dello Sport, Keita talked about the match against Madrid. He is optimistic:
Match against Madrid
"I have faced them several times when I was in Barça, Valencia and Sevilla. It will be a special match; I have great memories."
"It will be a great challenge. We have to believe we can win and play with confidence. It's really difficult, but not impossible. Real Madrid are vincible."
The change of coach Spalletti
"Things changed and I think we can do it well until the end of the season."
"When the coach is changed, the team's mentality changes. The confidence is different and the 4 consecutive wins in Serie A have been important for us. We are improving. We still have things to improve, but we are in the right path."
