He will be 15 days out of the fields due to the injury he suffered in the second half of Barcelona - Roma
The worst news in Joan Gamper Trophy celebration was Jordi Alba's injury, who will miss the two Super Cups (UEFA and Spanish ones). The left full-back entered in the start of the second half replacing Vermaelen and occupying the position where Mathieu had played.
In the 30th minute, a play by Iturbe ended in the terrible action. Alba lost the ball and when trying to recover it, he felt pain on his right leg. The reaction of the player was fast: he went straight to the dressing room together with Dr. Ricard Pruna. Alen Halilovic replaced him.
Despite the first fears, the injury is not severe. However he will miss the important matches of August: the UEFA Super Cup against Sevilla (next Tuesday) and the Spanish Super Cup against Athletic Club (on August 14 and 17). In total he will be 15 days out.
