"When I'm a manager, I would like to coach River Plate"
Javier Mascherano talked about his plans for the future when he retires from football. Although the Argentine hopes to play a few more years, he also imagines a career as a coach and he would like to manage River Plate, the club in which he grew up as a player. In an interview to Radio Rivadavia, Mascherano also mentioned the joke Piqué had about playing for River and he ruled out the idea of scoring a penalty kick.
"When I'm a manager, I would like to coach River Plate, whether it is the reserve or the first team. But there is still time..."
"I would have liked not to play the final against River, it's the team in which I grew up and, on my part, there is no hurt feelings. I'll never forget where I'm from."
"Before to make a decision, I'll talk with my family first, but my goal is to go back to River. However, I hope I'll play a few more years because I feel great."
Piqué to River?
"It's hard to convince Piqué to play for River because he is from Barcelona. The first step was to make him a River fan and this is already done."
Goal with Barça
"If I score a goal with Barça, I'll try to make it in game."
"I still have to win something with the national team. In June, in Copa América, we'll have another opportunity to win titles. Hopefully..."
