West Ham's Board put a price on the transfer of the Euros' star player
West Ham vice-president, David Gold, played about the franchise player of the London club, Dimitri Payet, revelation of the European Championships that has drawn attention from big clubs in Europe. This made the Board think that depending on who knocks on the door they won't be able to avoid the player's exit, although they wish to keep him in the squad for the coming season in which West Ham will play in the Europa League.
Just in case, West Ham have set a price on Payet with a clear message for any potential team that would like to seduce the player: 54 million Euros is what the English club is willing to accept to give the green light to the transfer, aware that if teams like "Barça or Madrid want to sign him, it will be difficult to prevent it", according to Gold.
"You can't have a player as good as him and say that no one will make an offer for him and even more after the Euros he's doing. The phone hasn't rung yet, it will probably ring after the Euros but calls won't be welcome" ended the West Ham executive.
