"It's the best way to grow. He would fit there," he said
Alen Halilović celebrated this weekend the permanence of Sporting Gijón in the Spanish First Division. The player on loan from FC Barcelona has done a good season and his coach, Abelardo, said the club is considering to ask a new on-loan season.
However, the midfielder is likely to leave Sporting. His agent, Zoran Stojadinovic, explained their preferences at an interview in the radio station COPE: "I would recommend him going to Valencia; it is the best choice to grow. It is a great club and he would fit well there. Valencia has already contacted with Robert Fernández [Barça's technical secretary] and I think they have advanced negotiations. A preliminary agreement may be closed soon."
Regarding the transfer, the radio station SER says he might be transferred to Valencia for about €5 million and Barça would have an option to repurchase him: the first year, he would cost €10 million euros, the second €12M and the third, €15M. However, negotiations with Halilović won't finish until the end of the current season, with the celebration of Copa del Rey.
