The day before Alen Halilović play at the Camp Nou against FC Barcelona with Sporting, where he is on loan, the player's agent spoke about the future of Croatian and has revealed that he has been talking with the Catalan club:

His return to Barça

"Yesterday I was talking with people in the club. I went to visit them to exchange views and I hinted that now is not the time to talk about it. We drank a coffee and we agreeded that we would see soon. The sensations are good."

"Robert [FC Barcelona's technical director] is very happy with Halilović. Has improved more than expected. He left a second division team [Barça B] and now he is starter in First Division. Robert believes his improvement has been more than positive."

"If you ask me my opinion, I prefer to be the 12th player in Barça rather than being starter somewhere else. If you are the 12th or 13th player, you have minutes. He chose Barça because he wants be a Barça player and if he has the opportunity to stay there, he would even refuse offers from Manchester City or Manchester United, although they offer more money."

"If the club chooses to transfer or sell him, I prefer him to stay in Spain because he fits with this style of football, more than with English football, for example."

"Now Barcelona are thinking about La Liga and Copa del Rey. There will be time to talk about where Halilović will be next season."

Game against Barça

"He will have the heart divided, because he plays at Sporting, but he is FC Barcelona player. Now, when out in the field, he forgets external things and will fight to help Sporting stay in First Division."

"He's doing a good campaign with a remarkable progression."
