Bayern classified for Champions League semifinals with an aggregate result of 7-4 vs Porto
Pep Guardiola's Bayern reached Champions League semifinals after winning Porto 6-1 in the quarterfinals second leg, 7-4 in the aggregate result. This means that the former Barça coach could face Barça, which also classified after beating PSG 2-0. The draw will be this Friday.
After the match in Fuβbal Arena, Guardiola was asked about this possible 'encounter' with his former team. The coach didn't want to say if he would like or not: "I control what I can control, and this basically means my players. I try to convince them we can defend this club. The rest of things I can't control... what will be, will be," admitted Guardiola.
The coach also answered questions about the fact he reached six Champions League semifinals in a row: "I'm very happy for that. But there's only one reason: great clubs with great players. Sooner or later we won't get in semifinals, but the important thing is to try it. And it's much easier with clubs like FC Barcelona or Bayern Munich."
