According to 'El Español'
Gerard Piqué spent two days this week in Madrid watching tennis. It's not the first time. He was at London at the end of last year in the Masters Cup and he had the chance to speak to some of the world's best tenns players... and also to the people that rule the sport.
According to El Español, Gerard Piqué wants to create a new tournament that competes with the Davis Cup. The top players are nothappy with the dates and the way the Copa Davis is being played during the past few years... and Piqué could bring a solution.
Pique's plan is a week's tournament including the world's best 16 national teams. He could already have the support of the ATP and the first place to play it could be Doha.
