"About going to Europe I took my decision, I stay in Palmeiras."
One of the most promising Brazilian gems is Palmeiras' striker, Gabriel Jesús. The good performance from the 19 year-old attracted many European clubs that got interesting in bringing him in. Among those clubs is Barça and the president Bartomeu himself recognised he had seen him play. "He is a different player", affirmed the Blaugrana president to define a footballer that blew out this season in the Brazilian league.
However, the striker is aware of the fact he needs to mature to make the leap in a big European club and he said that for now, he will stay in his country: "About going to Europe I took my decision, I stay in Palmeiras. I want to completely focus on my club, we are fighting for the title and that makes me very happy here."
Gabriel Jesús made those statements just after scoring a goal in the win against the Sport Club Do Recife. In the last 4 games, the striker scored 5 goals and he is in a momentum. For now, the evolition of the player will have to monitored in the Brazilian league and in the Olympic Games, where he will share the dressing room with 2 Blaugranas: Neymar and Rafinha.
