First images of the new release with the Portuguese manager's voice-over
Leo Messi won't be anymore on the covers of the popular football video game FIFA. On Monday the first video about the coming FIFA 17 was released and Barça's ace is not the face of the game anymore. Since 2012, Messi had been on the covers of the game and had been the face of many promotional videos. His contract with EA Sports terminated on december the 31st of 2015 and it didn't include a renewal deal.
From now on, James Rodríguez, Eden Hazard, Marco Reus and Anthony Martial will be the footballers representing the game and featuring on the covers. In the first advertising videos a lot of upgrades are announced and a much more realistic football thanks to the game engine Frostbite
One of the video's suprises is the voice-over that is José Mourinho, Manchester United's new head coach. For now, we don't know exactly what will be the role of the Portuguese manager in the game but a few rumours have spread on the social media. FIFA 17 won't be released until September the 29th.
