Luis Enrique did a lot of rotations and Deyberson and Ibai goals secured a win for the visitors at Camp Nou
Barcelona say they have a bigger squad this season, stronger than last seasons. However, when the rotations day came, with Luis Enrique changing seven players from the latest line-up at San Mamés, the team just didn't work. Neymar was the only one from the MSN in the eleven and Pique and Sergi Roberto watched the match from the stands. Jordi Alba wasn't selected either. Cillessen made his debut and Alcacer as well. Not even when Messi, Suarez and Iniesta came to the rescue in the last minutes of the match Barcelona could get a draw against Alaves (1-2).
Without Messi, Neymar played the Argentinian's role in a central position. He was brave, but it wasn't his day. Deyverson scored the opener for Alaves and went past Mascherano for the first time. He did that all night.
Nothing to declare for Alaves goalkeeper Pacheco. Cillessen, however, learned he won't need to solve many situations as a Barcelona keeper, but when the chances come, they are always dangerous.
Mathieu equalized, but then Ibai Gomez put Alaves ahead again. Messi played some minutes but wasn't brilliant and Neymar continued in the wrong path. In the last chance of the game, Messi could have scored, but his shot went wide. Barcelona's experiment just didn't work this Saturday.
