Another Spanish duel for Bilbao, which will face Sevilla. Villarreal will play Sparta Praha. The highlight will be the Dortmund - Liverpool game.
A few moments after the Champion's League draw was decided, the Europa League was up. The quarter-finals will offer interesting duels, most of all the one between Jürgen Klopp's old team, Borussia Dortmund, and his current one, Liverpool. As for Spanish clubs, they will face each other as Athletic Club will host Sevilla, while Villarreal will host surprising Sparta Praha, that knocked out Lazio in the last 16 round. Here is the full draw.
Sporting Braga (POR) - Shakhtar Donetsk (UKR)
Villarreal (ESP) - Sparta Praha (CZE)
Athletic Club (ESP) - Sevilla FC (ESP)
Borussia Dortmund (GER) - Liverpool FC (ENG)
This means one Spanish club at least will reach the semi-finals of the competition. Sevilla, champions in 2014 and 2015 are loooking for a third win in a row, which would be a first in the history of the competition. Athletic, that have almost been knocked out by Valencia, can thank Aritz Aduriz who scored two crucial goals away from home in the past two draws (Marseille, Valencia) and looks like the main threat for the Andalusians. Villarreal are having for their part a great season both in La Liga and in Europa League. Beware of Sparta Praha, that just beat Lazio at Stadio Olimpico 0-3 to qualify for this round.
Finally, the main attraction will be the duel between the two last club of Jürgen Klopp. The German coach, now in Liverpool, will face his old team of Dortmund, with a first leg in Germany that promises to be rich in emotions.
