Dunga is facing the last fixture of groups in the Copa America without his star, without the captain of the 'canarinha', without the man that gave the 3 points in the debut of the Seleçao against Perú with a goal, one assist and a wonderful performance. Neymar sent off against Colombia and the accumulation of yellow cards made the Comitee of Discipline Conmebol ban the Brazilian number 10 with 4 matches banned. Although the Brazilian Football Confederation appealed to reduce the ban, if this doesn't advance Neymar would have to say goodbye to the tournament before the end. In the case of a reducement, Brazil would have to beat phases if they want to have Neymar in a hipotetical final.

Brazilian's national team coach appeared in the press room to not speculate about the chance of having Neymar able, but with the intention of protecting the player. Being cautious, the coach defended Neymar's way of play and critisized the way of understanding football by a lot, also the way of making justice according to the acts and according to the protagonists: "We don't want a favour treatement, we only want that everybody is judged the same way. This is football, bans are big for players like Neymar. I would like to think that he was judged with no outside influence" he said.

Going on with Neymar's defense, Dunga compared the tough game that his star player had to suffer during the match against Colombia: "He received more than 20 kicks and he was sanctioned in a play that he was unbalancing. We want the best football but we don't protect the best players." Focusing the debate in attractive football, the coach kept thinking about tough game to avoid it: "We have to define which kind of football we want. We all like to watch Neymar, Alexis, Messi, Di Maria... playing and after that, if Neymar does a filigree we say he is bragging. Therefore, what do we want? A tecnical football and after that there's a lot of fouls."

At last and depending if the ban of the player is reduced, Dunga said that the ban wasn't a revenge with him and that the decision of abandoning the competition (understanding that he won't be able to play in Copa America anymore) only depends on him.
