Munir i Suárez

Do Barcelona need another striker? A fourth one? Someone who can fill up the gap when Luis Suarez, Messi or Neymar are not available? Can Munir be that fourth striker or he is not good enough? Aleix Vidal, Denis Suarez or Rafinha can play upfront too, but they are midfielders. Iniesta can even play down the left wing if Neymar is not fit for one match or two. But should Barcelona consider spending their last millions of this summer transfer window to sign another big '9'?

Barcelona still need a striker

Pol Gustems. "Luis Enrique has different options in attack. Denis, Rafinha, Munir, even Iniesta or Aleix Vidal. But none of this options, not even Munir, are cards that one day can become a regular starter upfront. They are very good solutions, but not the perfect and initial masterplan. Luis Suarez is 30 on January and the attacking magic trio will not live forever. So the club should start thinking about signing a young promising striker who, in a period of two years time, would be ready to share the attacking line with Messi and Neymar. Luis Suarez might still be a top player then, but he won't be playing all the matches. So if Barcelona can't sign a striker now, they should do it in the next transfer window. But it is still a job to do".

Striker not needed

Pol Ballús. "There is no better striker for Barcelona in the world than the ones they have. It's normal that most of the european attackers do not want to join Barça. If there is not an unexpected injury, the attacking line will not leave much minutes for other players. Moreover, it is really difficult to find a type of player suitable for Barcelona style and available to be the fourth striker. Barcelona's current squad have a lot of quality players to play on these roles. The first choice is Munir. The starlet played under a lot of pressure last season but he showed that with confidence can be a decent goalscorer. The preseason confirms that fact and his games with the u-18 team as well. Plus, players like Denis, Rafinha, Arda or Iniesta can play in the attacking line in some moments. Now it is also a moment to send a message to the youth teams: If Barça does not trust La Masia now, when will they do?".
